Part I
Step I
1. The two men Latimer and Ridley were burned at the stake for herecy.
2. Latimer was confident because he felt they would set an exaple of how corupt the Queen was.
3. It's important because they show us that we needn't live in fear of society.
Part II
1. These images may have inspired Bradbury to write Fahrenheit 451 by showing the loyalty to the destruction of knowledge.
Part III
1. People beleived that communist were placing subversive messages in hollywood films.
2. Was this right or wrong to do I don't know but it was a safty precaution.
3. It possibly could happen again and I can see it happening.
4. This might have inspired the idea of getting rid of books and putting in the parlor walls (T.V.'s) to keep the people brain washed.

Blog promt 6 Does this novel end with
hope? Explain.
I feel this novel didn't end with much hope. With the loss of everything Montag held close to him. His city his wife and everyone he knew. After the nuking of the city I felt there was no hope left. But even in all this destruction I guess there was some hope. Granger says that the legendary phoenix and its endless cycle of long life, death in flames, and rebirth. This shows that mankind will one day have its rebirth. This makes me believe people will soon stop worrying about all the new technology and start focusing on the power in knowledge.

1. Why would society make "being a pedestrian" a crime? (Clarisse tells Montag
that her uncle was once arrested for this.)
Society would make being a pedestrrain a crime because the pedestrian isn't watching the parlor walls. This means they are not getting brain washed by society any more. If it's against the law to be a pedestrian it'll make every one stay inside and live in the fear of being criminalized by society. The fact that someone is arrested for being a pedestrian would put fear into plenty of people.
8. This part of the book is aptly named. Discuss the symbolism of the "sieve and the sand." Be sure to include examples as support (Faber offers quite a few).
"Sieve and the sand" is sybolically just stating that the words of the bible going through Montags mind. It is symbol of the words digging into his mind and showing him that everything he knows is wrong. It shows that the society has been lied to and that books and knowledge are very useful to gain power. So they use fireman to keep the power in there possession.

Prompt Number 1, Montag comes to learn that "firemen are rarely necessary" because "the public
itself stopped reading of its own accord." Bradbury wrote his novel in 1953: To
what extent has his prophecy come true today?
Bradbury's predictions have become more and more true every day. People today take more time checking their Facebook or their Twitter than actually reading. Bradbury’s prediction on the giant TV’s in peoples house has become one the most commonly know things that replaces books. He said that "firemen are rarely necessary" because "the public itself stopped reading of its own accord,” this basically means that burning books isn’t necessary because no one reads anymore anyways. The extent to which Bradbury was correct in his predictions is outstanding, because at his time the television wasn’t really around. Eventually people had stopped reading with the advancement of technology.

Catch The Moon and The Bass, The River, And Sheila Mant
Both "Catch The Moon" and "The
Bass, The River, And Sheila Mant" have very similar characters. Luis
in "Catch The Moon" and the narrator in the "The
Bass, The River, And Sheila Mant" are growing up and learning about
feelings they have for other people. Luis is a trouble maker and is finding his
way and where he belongs in life after the passing of his mother. While the
narrator is learning a life lesson. By losing the fish and the girl he likes he
learns not to make the same mistake twice. The theme is that the boys are
“Coming of Age”. Another theme could also be that anyone can make a mistake but
those he learn from it can move on to better themselves in life. In “Catch The Moon” a symbol is the hub cap
reflecting the moon. Another symbol would be the tree Luis climbed to get away
from all those during his mothers funeral because he felt secure and safe as he
would with his mother. And in “The Bass”, the fish is the symbol of someone he
likes getting away. In “Catch The Moon” Luis
faces conflicts with the law, his father, and with people he cares about. The
narrator face conflicts with girls, growing up, and losing the bass. I should
explain that these stories are very relevant to things that happen to kids are
age. These stories are both telling us the same thing in different ways. Boom
250 words dead even.
